SUMMARY OF FRAME BUCKLING
In this section we showed how the elastic buckling load of plane frames can be determined by the slope-deflection method, and we derived approximate equations for the effective length of columns in regular plane frames. The elastic buckling load of a plane frame is an important parameter used in the approximate determination of the maximum strength of frames, as we shall learn in Chapter 6.
